Ling Koon Wah
SENIOR CONSULTANT

Mr. Ling is the Managing Director of PR ASIA Consultants Limited. With his in-depth experience and extensive network in the financial-media industry, Mr. Ling offers the latest financial and economic information to clients. He leads the PR ASIA team in providing quality services in public relations consultation, promotion strategy and crisis management. PR ASIA now has a strong clientele, including locally-listed companies, institutions, and multinational enterprises in Asia, Europe and America.

Having worked in the financial media industry for over 30 years, Mr. Ling possesses solid writing skills and valuable hands-on experience in the field. Mr. Ling began his career in financial media in the 1970s at Ming Pao Newspaper Group as a reporter
and subsequently an editor.

As Hong Kong became a leading global financial centre and the financial media industry flourished, Mr. Ling joined the Express Daily as a Financial Editor and subsequently Assistant Editor-in- Chief. He introduced a new style of reporting , “字花”, which was illustrating financial criticism with artwork. He introduced animation to explain abstruse financial concepts so that the general public can understand them easily. It was a stunning innovation for the media industry and widely appealing to the audience.

Competition among the local media was heating up. Mr. Ling took his career to another level, joining Oriental Press Group as Financial Editor, and then as Deputy Editor and Editor in Chief. Under his leadership, the group launched a number of popular columns such as “Analyst’s Recommendation” and “Criticism on Listed Companies”. He also launched comic strips and IPO charts. These publications set the trend in the local media and were widely regarded as investment guidelines for the general public.

Mr. Ling is currently a Committee Member of “United We Stand Foundation”, a non-governmental organization that focuses on improving education for children living in poverty in China. He is also the Co-Founder and Director of “E-give For You Charity Foundaiton”.

Michael Ling
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Michael Ling serves as the Executive Director at PR ASIA Consultants Limited, responsible for overseeing corporate direction, growth, as well as strategic planning.

Michael is leading the corporate development into a new page by introducing the acquisition of iMarComm Limited, a subsidiary of the Group which focuses on providing digital marketing services. This diversification of business not only provides an autonomous marketing platform to our clients, but also comprehensive online and offline marketing solutions to better cater for their business needs.

Michael holds a Master of Commerce degree in Finance from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Sydney. He has gained an extended knowledge in Economics, Corporate Finance and other related fields.

Michael dedicated himself to supporting charity events, having previously served as the 16th Zone Chairperson of Lions Clubs International District 303 and the former president of Lions Club of Tsuen Wan. These positions have elevated his status and expanded his networks within the society, particularly among associations and NGOs.

Lorraine Lam
MANAGING DIRECTOR

Lorraine Lam joined PR ASIA Consultants Limited in 2008 from the marketing communication field. Presently, she is responsible for daily account management and supervision, formulating strategies and providing professional advice to clients from various sectors, including information technology, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, skin care and properties as well as professional organizations such as Hong Kong Health Food Association.

Prior to joining PR ASIA, she was an in-house public relations practitioner at Hong Kong Housing Authority, Midland Realty (SEHK: 1200), China South City Holdings Ltd (SEHK: 1668), PYI Corporation Ltd (SEHK: 491) and Paul Y. Engineering Group Ltd (SEHK: 577). She has held increasingly responsible positions and capacities in corporate affairs, marketing communications, public relations, media relations and event management.

She obtained a Master’s degree in New Media from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor’s degree in Arts from the University of Hong Kong. She also earned a Diploma in Marketing from the University of Hong Kong.

Winnie Cheng
CHIEF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Winnie Cheng is the Chief Executive Officer of PR ASIA Consultants Limited. Cheng has over 20 years of solid experience in the media industry and a well-built relationships with Government Officials, Chambers and Associations. With the experience acquired over the years, she has been responsible for managerial functions of corporate decisions, strategic directions, operation efficiency, business exploitation, decision making and to crisis management.

Prior to joining PR ASIA, Cheng was a General Manager at Economic Digest magazine in New Media Group for 13 years. She played a significant role in the Group’s success and facilitated Economic Digest to become not just the leading business & financial magazine but a reputable brand in the finance and publishing industries. Cheng led Economic Digest to explore numerous business opportunities, such as the industry pioneering ceremonial awards, the industry leading seminars / business conferences, development of related business and activities that capture cross-border market opportunities, as well as successfully led the traditional Media to step into the Digital Era way before others in town, which laid the cornerstone for the company’s digital business success. Earlier in Cheng’s career, she was the Business Development Director of the CM Group, one of the largest publication groups in Hong Kong and Regional. Cheng was the management personnel in charge of setting strategic directions and overseeing the operation of ELLE, MenMode, Mode, Couture, Eve and Eve Essentials magazines.

Cheng possesses an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) Master’s degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, obtained an Executive Diploma in Management from the Chartered Management Institute, UK (Master’s Degree of FHEQ, Level 7 of NQF), completed the Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation Silicon Valley Program at Stanford University, US as well as an Advanced Program on Leadership in the 21st Century at University of Oxford, UK.

Furthermore, Cheng is active in serving the community through being a committee member of various reputable associations, for instance she was appointed as the Mentor of Postgraduate Student of Peking Central University of Finance and Economics from 2009-2012, as the Hong Kong expert team member of HK Information Technology SME ‘Shenzhen / HK Innovation Circle’ Consult (Qianhai Program) in 2009, as well as in 2011, accepted the appointment by the Home Affairs Bureau as a member of the Public Affair Forum. Cheng is a founding Vice President of the Golden Bauhinia Women Entrepreneur Association and the related Charitable Foundation, an Executive Committee Member of The Y. Elites Association and a Vice Chairman of its Women Subcommittee, a Vice-Secretary of the Youth Committee of the Federation of Hong Kong Guangdong Community Organizations YOUTH, an Executive Vice-Secretary of YGT Youth Association, an Executive Director of New Territories General Chamber of Commerce, a Director of The Hong Kong Chinese Importers’ & Exporters’ Association, as well as a Member of The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce. Such bonds allow Cheng to make contributions to the society.
